For about as long as MacBooks have existed, confusion, questions and angst over how many external displays can run with them have plagued users. But at least some of the guesswork can be swept aside with a capable USB-C dock. In today’s M2 MacBook Pro setup, the powerful Ugreen Revodok connects multiple displays — three, to be precise — and other peripherals.

Ugreen Revodok connects multiple displays in high-flying M2 MacBook Air setup

- 100-watt power delivery for laptop
- Dual 4K@60Hz monitor compatibility
- Some similar docks feature even more ports and charging power
Redditor JasonF6 showcased the space-oriented, four-display MacBook Air setup in a post entitled, “3 monitors on an M2 Air.” In the shadow of a very cool Lego Saturn V rocket model (discontinued; current model in gear links list below), he runs an M2 MacBook Air open on a stand. That creates the smallest of four displays in the setup. With all those displays, the MacBook Air needs a little help. And it gets it from powerful Ugreen Revodock.
“Rocking the Ugreen Revodok Pro 209 — really happy with it’s performance so far,” he said. “External monitors are Dell U2724DE and Asus Zenscreen MB166C.”
So the three external displays are a pair of 27-inch Dell 1440p-resolution LED monitors and a 15.6-inch Asus Zenscreen MB166C portable USB-C 1080p display.

“I didn’t know it was possible to use three mongoose [monitors] at the same time,” said a commenter. “I thought you can use two external only keeping the lid closed.”
“Technically you can have as many mongoose as you want,” chimed in another commenter.
“Yep, one of the Thunderbolt ports is linked to the Ugreen dock, the other Thunderbolt port is linked directly to a monitor,” JasonF6 explained.
“How is the performance when using the three displays?” asked someone else.
“It’s been absolutely fine, both big monitors are running at 1440p [resolution] 120Hz [refresh rate], I’ve not noticed any performance degradation at all,” JasonF6 replied.
