Insta360 Flow 2 Pro gimbal keeps an iPhone steady during filming so it can be moved to follow the action. Or it can act as a tripod stand and automatically keep the camera pointed at the person being recorded even if they move around. Plus, the accessory can recharge the phone.

“The idea of Flow 2 Pro is simple: Bridge the gap between professional-quality tools and everyday accessibility,” shares JK Liu, founder of Insta360.

Take video recording to the next level with Insta360 Flow 2 Pro

The iPhone Camera’s Action Mode works well at stabilizing the video when the device is moving, but it has limits. That’s where a handheld gimbal takes over.

The original Insta360 Flow Pro launched in July 2024, and an upgraded version is already on the market. Both models use Apple’s DockKit — software built into iOS to help a camera track objects.

And Flow Pro 2 adds Deep Track 4.0, the accessory-maker’s proprietary software. It supports Active Zoom Tracking for zooming in up to 15x while tracking a moving subject. And the Pro Framing Grid is intended to help creators incorporate the Golden Ratio into every shot.

“We’re bringing our cutting-edge AI tracking to the table, with even more enhancements, as well as seamless iPhone and Android integration,” said Liu.

The device can be controlled remotely using either an Apple Watch or a second smartphone. This allows creators to adjust angles, start/stop recording or manage tracking.

New model, new design

Insta360 Flow 2 Pro includes a new gimbal design intended to hold the camera steady while it’s in motion. And the latest version of the accessory is sturdier, with a stronger built-in tripod.

Plus, Insta360 adds a selfie mirror to the gimbal so a creator working alone can use the iPhone’s rear camera for recording video of themselves.

Launches today

Insta360 Flow 2 Pro launched Thursday in two colors: Stone Grey and Summit White.

Buy it from: Amazon or Insta360

The Standard Bundle costs $159.99. A Creator Bundle at $189.99 adds a spotlight and a MagSafe-compatible clamp.
